About 1,000 Family & Children’s Services employees were welcomed today by cheers from Booker T. Washington High School’s Pom team for this year’s agency-wide Tulsa Area United Way (TAUW) Campaign Kick-Off Pep Rally at the Nathan E. Harris Field House. FCS is one of 59 partner agencies and the largest recipient of TAUW funding.
This year’s theme is “Pledge and Shout: Let’s Knock This Out!” The KIPP Tulsa Drum Line wowed the crowd as the FCS leadership team led a chant to kick off the program. FCS CEO Gail Lapidus and TAUW president Alison Anthony presented words of inspiration and acknowledgment of FCS employees who serve one in six Tulsans daily in its more than 75 programs.
