We need your help now more than ever.
More than a year into the pandemic Tulsans continue to struggle with depression, anxiety, insomnia, substance use and mental health issues.
The good news? Hope starts right here at Family & Children’s Services.
We want you to meet Edwin, a 45-year-old manager who lost his job in June 2020. The next month, he lost his mother to coronavirus. That pain on top of the devastating effects of the pandemic was too much for Edwin. He slipped back into using drugs and alcohol and considered ending his life. This quickly led to hospitalization. After discharge, he was referred to F&CS. He refused to participate in therapy until he learned that F&CS could meet with him through telehealth. That made all the difference.
