Picture the delight of a deserving child receiving a bicycle during this season of giving. Cycling not only enhances physical health but also contributes to a child’s cognitive development and mental well-being.
This year’s annual contribution from the Tulsa Bike Club, Two Men & A Truck, and the Sanford & Irene Burnstein Foundation has brought joy to many, with 240 bicycles being donated to children from the Child Abuse and Trauma Services program, the Early Childhood Program, School-Based services, and the Women in Recovery program, all initiatives of Family & Children’s Services.
Over the past 16 years, Tulsa Bike Club, Two Men and A Truck, The Sanford & Irene Burnstein Foundation, among others, have generously donated over 3,300 bicycles to children under the care of Family & Children’s Services.
The Tulsa Bike Club provides children with access to bicycles and operates an after-school cycling program in Tulsa area schools. Upon completion of their year-round training, the Tulsa Bike Club gifts a bicycle to each child in the program.
