A Daddy Hair Salon Male Engagement Event was hosted at Rosa Parks in collaboration with Clary Sage College to provide an opportunity for Dads, and other male role models to learn basic hair care and styles.
Clary Sage Instructor began by presenting basic information to families, followed by basic hairstyles. Students then began working with each Dad/family individually talking about their child’s hair type, as well as, teaching basic styles allowing Dad to do the styling. Each participant received a goody bag containing a hairbrush, comb, detangle spray, ponytail holders, and bobby pins. There were 22 adults and 25 children in attendance and several of the dads expressed how much they enjoyed the event and look forward to future events.
