Are your kids ready to go back to school? Are they anxious, excited, scared? We’ve got some back to school tips to make your child’s transition into the new school year, an easy one!
Back to school is more than just the new “first day of school” outfit or who has the fanciest pens and backpacks. We need to worry about our children’s’ mental health as well. Along with the long list of school supplies needed, make a separate list to make sure your child has a happy and emotionally healthy school year.
- Make sure your kids are getting enough sleep. Set a bedtime for a reasonable hour so that they’ll be well-rested and ready to learn in the morning.
- Sit down with your children and together, write down the need-to-know info to help them remember details such as their locker combination, what time classes and lunch start and end, their homeroom and classroom numbers, teachers’ and/or bus drivers’ names.
- Have them organize and set out what they need the night before, this should make getting them out the door a quick and easy process!
