KJRH 2 Works for You, GenScripts Pharmacy, and UniFirst Corporation hosted the annual 2 Cares for the Community Warming Hearts & Hands Blanket and Glove Drive in December and January. Participants dropped off new gloves, mittens or blankets at any GenScripts Pharmacy location or during business hours at KJRH. Used blankets were cleaned by UniFirst Corporation.
“On behalf of Homeless Outreach and Diversion services and Family & Children’s Services, I want to express our gratitude to Channel 2, UniFirst, and the Tulsa community,” said Kathy Loehr, program director of FCS Homeless and Diversion Services. “We were overwhelmed with the amount of donated blankets and other cold weather gear we received this morning. We are grateful for the continued partnerships with Channel 2 and UniFirst with the Warming Hearts and Hands Drive, which allows us to provide needed items to our clients experiencing homelessness. We are thankful to the Tulsa community for their continued generosity that support our efforts to reach Tulsans experiencing homelessness and provide extra warmth to our clients actively working to better their situation.”
