Family & Children’s Services CEO Gail Lapidus accepted the Nonprofit Award from Leadership Tulsa for the Paragon Awards on Thursday at the Greenwood Cultural Center. The Nonprofit Award is awarded to a local agency who not only has hosted Leadership Tulsa interns but has impacted Tulsans through outstanding services. Family & Children’s Services serves 1 in 6 Tulsans through over 60 programs in multiple locations.
“I am honored to receive this distinguished Paragon Nonprofit Award on behalf of Family & Children’s – an organization whose excellence rests on the shoulders of many: our talented staff, devoted board of directors, selfless volunteers, strong partners and committed funders,” said F&CS CEO Gail Lapidus.
“Thank you, Leadership Tulsa for recognizing the vital and courageous work we have been doing for nearly a century. As a graduate of early Leadership Tulsa class 8, I learned the important principles of leadership, civic engagement, networking, excellence, partnerships and board service. I have been fortunate throughout my career to apply this knowledge serving at the helm of F&CS. Even better I have found myself surrounded by Leadership Tulsa alumna: my colleagues, employees and board members all joined in the pursuit of a common goal – to make Tulsa a better place for all.”
The mission of Leadership Tulsa is to identify, develop and connect diverse leaders who impact the community through service. The Paragon Awards are designed to recognize exceptional contributions by Leadership Tulsa members serving the community.
