The 2022 Brainiac Ball was one for the record books – raising more than $1 million from our generous supporters, officially commemorating the FCS 100th anniversary, and marking the first time most of us have gathered as the pandemic recedes.
For the 14th year, Cyclonic Valve Company, Inc., served as the Quartz Presenting Sponsor.
Special gratitude goes to our Brainiac Ball Chairs Lauren and Dave Sherry, Honorary Chairs Pam and Terry Carter, and our 100th Anniversary Celebration Society Donors Jill and Robert Thomas and Mary Lee Townsend and Burt B. Holmes.
In total, the event raised more than $1,187,000, thanks to our very generous sponsors, donors, and guests.
The theme of this year’s Brainiac Ball was “Through the Ages” in honor of Family & Children’s Services’ (FCS) 100th Anniversary. The evening featured a cocktail hour, wine and chef’s pulls, art deco décor, a special chandelier and a large “100” ice sculpture.
Guests enjoyed the annual tradition of table trivia, which posed challenging questions about pop culture as well as FCS history. The live auction featured a variety of amazing trips, dining experiences and more.
The Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Philanthropies provided a match of up to $50,000 for those participating in the Bids for Kids campaign, supporting children’s programs at FCS.
Approximately 646 guests attended the live event, with many more attending virtually on the FCS YouTube channel.
Next year’s Brainiac Ball will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023, in the Tulsa Ballroom at the Cox Business Center in downtown Tulsa. Watch for more information soon!
